Brandclad have a designated special works/refurbishment department headed by Mr Dave Nattress. This department was created to enable a separate focus to be given to general works that do not come into the category of new-build works and this department deals with small repairs of a few hundred pounds in value up to major refurbishment of roofs and cladding of large buildings.

As well as undertaking refurbishment works of old metal sheeted roofs and cladding usually found on steel framed buildings, Brandclad is familiar with all the standard forms of pre-cast concrete framed buildings such as Atcost, Tyler, Charcon, Crendon and the like, which are typically roofed in asbestos cement sheeting and we are almost constantly carrying out large and small repairs and refurbishment programmes on these types of structures.

Refurbishment
We are able to carry out numerous refurbishment works, the following examples represent a very small section of the services we provide:
Over-roofing/cladding [-]
In almost all instances over roofing/cladding of an existing building can be a cost effective method of providing a new more aesthetically pleasing, water tight and thermally efficient building envelope. Brandclad are able to provide guidance and advice on the most suitable products within the client’s budget limitations
Flat to Pitch Roof Conversions [-]

Lightweight over-roof conversion systems were first developed in the late 1980’s and have been used extensively throughout the public and private sector as a permanent refurbishment solution for failed flat roofs. By constructing a lightweight steel subframe over the existing roof (which is then over-clad), an effective pitch is created to facilitate water run-off. This combined with the relocation of drainage to the outside of the building ensures water is permanently removed from a roof and the potential for any further problems eliminated.

Developed by Ash & Lacy in 1988, Ashjack was the first structural lightweight over-roof conversion system in the UK. Supported by a network of approved installers including Brandclad, Ashjack provides a range of systems, which can be individually tailored to suit the specific structural and design requirements of the existing building.

Gutter Refurbishment [-]

Defective and leaking gutters can cause major problems to building owners, we provide high performance rubberised membrane gutter lining systems which are joint free. This system has minimal disruption to the occupants, as the gutter lining is able to be installed without the removal of the existing gutter.

Defective rooflights can be replaced with minimum disruption to building occupants, this can be achieved by Brandclad using single skin and factory assembled products from the industries leading rooflight manufacturers.
